Simca-Gordini
Born from the partnership between Italian-French engineer Amédée Gordini — nicknamed 'the wizard' for his ability to extract power from modest engines — and carmaker Simca. It debuted in the World Championship in 1950 with the four-cylinder Type 15, with Maurice Trintignant and Robert Manzon as its main drivers. It scored points only at the 1950 French GP. The lack of financial support from Simca ended the partnership, and from 1952 Gordini continued independently.
